Before the first question.
What is Ask the Truth?
Ask the Truth is a free browser detective game. Choose from authored yes/no questions, consult a medium, collect evidence, and identify who was responsible, how the event happened, and why.
Is this an AI chat game?
No. Every case has a fixed, authored truth. You choose from written questions; the answers do not change between playthroughs. Your deduction happens as you decide what to ask and how the answers connect.
How does Resolve work?
Each inquiry costs 1 Resolve. A No answer costs 1 additional Resolve. At zero, the séance fails. Browsing questions, taking notes, and reading cost nothing. A wrong conclusion reduces the rating by 12 points.
Must I ask questions in order?
No. You choose the order. Some questions require earlier evidence, and their cards show the prerequisites. Swiping left saves a question for later; swiping right asks it when it is available.
Does progress survive refresh?
Yes. Each case resumes separately in the same browser, including completed and failed investigations. The session cookie lasts 30 days. Private notes stay on this device; clearing browser storage removes access to them.
Do I need an account or download?
No account or download is required. Play the available cases for free in a desktop or mobile browser. The public game is in English.
